Why is location important?
A great home isn’t just about finding a suburb that suits your lifestyle. In cases like Specialist Disability Accommodation, for example, funding can differ between North and South of the river. That’s something we can talk you through. When our team is looking into home recommendations, we like to get to know you and the factors that are important to life beyond your front door. It might be close to family, your favourite shopping centre, or transport for getting out and about. We take all of this into account for a great SDA life, all round.
Can I choose who supports me in my new home?
Absolutely. It’s really important to us that you have total choice and control over who comes into your home. We have a process in place that allows you to nominate your preferred provider and decide on this with your fellow housemates. It’s important to know – this is never set in stone. Your home, and your lease, stays with you. If at any time you aren’t happy or would like to explore other support providers, we are more than happy to assist
Can I make changes when I move in?
In the past, we’ve been able to accommodate lots of unique and interesting requests; from custom doors to colourful artworks. Every home is yours to bring your flair, but we’ll need to discuss any changes first.
Do I have a say in my housemates?
Of course. Our team will do a range of compatibility checks to find housemates that have the same needs, goals, and interests as you. You will always have the final say in selection – a happy shared home is our top priority.
I’m not eligible for SDA. Can you still help me?
One of the perks of Nesti is that we are a full-service housing provider. So, if Specialist Disability Accommodation isn’t the right fit for you, we can still assist in finding you a home. It may be in a Community Housing Program or a traditional rental with the Nesti Realty team.
