Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is for Nesti Housing (referred to as “we,” “our,” or “us”) and governs the collection and use of personal information on our website, nesti.org.au (the “website”).
At Nesti Housing, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how we collect it, and how we use and protect that information.
Information We May Collect to Support Your Housing Needs
If you contact us to learn more about Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or to explore moving into SDA, we may ask for information about your current living arrangements and gender.
We may also collect health-related information, such as your disability and accessibility needs, but only with your consent and when it is relevant to helping you find suitable accommodation.
To ensure we can offer housing options that are tailored to your individual needs, we may also ask for other information — but only with your permission. This may include:
- Your NDIS number and plan details
- Health reports and hospital discharge summaries
- Details about your health needs and support requirements
- Information about individual and informal supports
- Your current living and family situation
- Other relevant health or support plans
- We fully understand that this is sensitive information, and we will only collect and use it with your explicit consent and always in line with this Privacy Policy.
From time to time, we may also invite you to share your personal experience of working with us, such as:
- Your NDIS plan goals
- The impact the NDIS has had on you and your family
- Experiences in previous accommodation
- How your health and wellbeing have been affected
With your consent, we may share these experiences on our website or in promotional materials to help others better understand our services.
We may also ask to collect photographs and/or video footage of you, again with your full consent, for use in advertising or promotional materials.
Please note, we will only collect sensitive information if you agree to share it, and only when it directly relates to providing the best possible support and services to you.
What Different Information Do We Collect?
For the purpose of providing you with our services, we collect the following information through forms you submit, contact forms you complete, eligibility forms you fill in, or phone calls you have with us:
- Your name
- Contact information, including address, email address, and telephone number
- Demographic information, such as age, guardian or carer details
- Any other personal information you submit to us via our website (nesti.org.au) or otherwise
How Do We Collect Your Personal Information?
We collect your personal information in a few different ways, but always with care and respect for your privacy. Most of the time, we collect information directly from you — whether that’s:
- In person
- Over the phone
- By email
- Through forms or interactions on our website
Sometimes, we may receive your information from someone else — for example, if you are a carer, family member, or advocate for a person with a disability who uses our services, and you provide their information as part of helping them.
If we need to collect information about you from another person or organisation, we will only do so if you’ve given them permission to share it with us, or if it’s something you would reasonably expect us to do to provide support. If we’re unsure, we’ll always check with them to confirm your consent.
Importantly, if we need to collect sensitive information (like health or disability-related details), we will only do so with your clear consent.

If we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be among the assets transferred. We will not disclose information that personally identifies you to any third party other than as set out in this Privacy Policy.
