Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes within Nesti’s community housing portfolio provide accessible, affordable homes to eligible people living with disability in Western Australia. It’s designed for those who need secure housing with links to ongoing support services.
Not exactly. We are the housing provider and your supports are separate to us – usually through a nominated Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider of your choosing. We do have established relationships with many of these providers and work closely with them on your housing goals.
Where we do support you in your home is through property management and repairs and maintenance.
Not directly. You should first start by applying for public housing through the Department of Communities. Let them know you have a disability and require accessible housing. You may also be referred through a support coordinator or community housing provider.
Rent is based on a percentage of your income, similar to public housing. It is intended to be affordable and sustainable for people on low incomes or disability support payments.
For more information, to apply, or join the waitlist – the Department of Communities is the best place to start.
