Tenant Engagement Coordinator - Not for Profit Housing
Position Description

not for profit housing provider spanning Community Housing, Specialist
Disability Accommodation (SDA), Repairs and Maintenance, and Real Estate. We’re

Reporting to
the Housing Engagement Manager, Tenant Engagement Coordinator plays a key role
in fostering tenant engagement and overseeing the onboarding process for
individuals moving into Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), homes and
other housing portfolios under Nesti management.
This fixed
term role for a six-month period (with possible extension or permanency) is also responsible for building a pipeline of
prospective tenants for properties and collaborating with the wider Nesti team
to develop and implement a comprehensive vacancy management strategy.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage in
lead-generating activities and sector networking to build awareness of
Nesti Housing and our available properties.
- Build and maintain strong
relationships with participants, families, guardians, support
coordinators, SIL providers and allied health professionals to develop and
maintain a pipeline of prospective tenants to support ongoing occupancy of
our SDA homes.
- Establish and manage a database
of tenant seeking properties from Nesti Housing to minimise vacancy
periods across the portfolio.
- Coordinate end to end tenant transitions, including information gathering, assessments and collaborating with participants, families, and care providers to support smooth and timely move ins consistent with NDIS SDA practice standards. Work with the marketing team to ensure property listings and housing collateral are accurate, current and effective
- Support the matching of participants to suitable properties, considering existing individual housemate needs and compatibility to ensure smooth transitions.
- Be the key contact for tenant
enquiries, providing guidance to participants and their supports exploring
housing options and helping them make informed decisions.
- Coordinate a seamless handover to
the property management team post move in, ensuring all relevant
documentation, participant details and stakeholder information is
accurately captured to ensure effective ongoing tenancy and customer
satisfaction.
- Develop a working understanding of SDA funding, eligibility, participant
plan details and generate SDA quotes.
- Collaborate with the SDA claims
administrator to support accurate and timely service bookings and
claims.
- Liaise with the NDIS where
required to clarify participant funding and plan details.
About you:
You
will have experience in a similar role in the disability or community sector
with comprehensive knowledge of NDIS, funding principles, SDA, and working with
participants and their stakeholders.
You will also have the confidence to build respectful and trusting external connections in order to build the Nesti brand and develop a pipeline of prospective tenants.
Working in a small supportive team within Nesti Housing, your ability to genuinely collaborate, proactively communicate and step in to help whenever required is key to your success in the role. A positive team approach is the Nesti vibe helping us to focus on our North Star.
