About the Role:

The Maintenance Team Lead ensures the smooth and efficient operation of repairs and maintenance activities across Nesti’s residential and commercial properties.  This involves ensuring quality and safety standards are met, appropriate systems and processes are in place and problems are resolved in line with our values.

This role leads our maintenance officers and works collaboratively with the broader Nesti team to maintain the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of properties we manage. 

About You:

You will have prior experience in a maintenance role combined with an understanding of maintenance systems and process, as well as the safety regulations and procedures in Western Australia. You will be a calm and respected leader who will strive to ensure our housing maintenance processes and outcomes meet the needs of our valued clients.

The Role

Join the Nesti Realty Property Management team as a Property Manager working directly with the Licensee and Housing Engagement Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in the efficient management and administration of all assigned Nesti Realty and Nesti Housing properties.

Your primary focus will be on establishing strong relationships with stakeholders, including property owners, tenants, service providers, and a team of professionals, to uphold and enhance the overall value of Nesti properties. With your exceptional customer service skills, you'll champion tenant satisfaction and ensure that all client needs are met promptly and professionally.


Key Responsibilities

  • You should know all aspects of property operations from rent collection, tenant screening and assessment, sign-ups, allocations, maintenance/repairs, leasing, inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with tenants and support providers, prioritising excellent customer service and timely resolution of issues.
  • Ensure tenants fully understand their rights and responsibilities under the appropriate tenancy agreement.
  • Help oversee rent setting, collection, and expenditure allocation, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities by liaising with contractors to ensure work is completed to a high standard in a timely manner and is cost-effective.
  • Schedule and perform property inspections to assess conditions and compliance with safety standards.
  • Learn to maintain accurate and up-to-date property records, including lease agreements, financial transactions, maintenance logs, and tenant information in our internal systems.


About You

  • Property Management experience as an Assistant or Property Manager in the real estate sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act of 1987.
  • Restricted Property Management Registration – WA
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering quality property and tenancy management services.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to actively contribute towards achieving Nesti's overall strategies.
  • Computing skills, including property management systems.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of SDA Property Management

Other Employment Requirements

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain).
